Here is Cincinnati, apartment and condo complexes try many different things to attract attention to themselves. Sometimes they have big signs out front, or they pay people to put on weird animal costumes and stand at their entrances and wave. The latest thing are inflatables - thin tubes that are bright colored like red or green, and about 20 feet tall. They shoot up in the air, but then whip around in the breeze, sometimes bending and snapping back up. And of course, the top is fringed like hair, they have arms, and they have a face on them.
We see them frequently, and the boys are continuously looking for them.
There is a green one at the apartments where I lived when I first moved to Cincy, and we pass it each night on the way home from work. I'm not sure how it started...probably just a comment about the inflatable dancing or something. But as usual, the boys have put their own little touch on it - so every night, as we pull up to the stop sign by it, we hear Jackson: "It's the silly green guy and he's doing the Pokey Pokey"! (otherwise know as the Hokey Pokey....)
Where does he come up with this stuff?
