They pick up on EVERYTHING....

Other parents and our doctor have told us that we have to watch what we say and do around the boys, because they are at that age where they are soaking it all in.  We are pretty mindful of our language and actions, but we are human.  We've recently discovered how funny it is to see yourself played back through the mouth of a two year old.

Growing up, us kids always knew when we were REALLY in trouble - because mom would use our FULL names (Katheryn Marie Muehlfeld).  When you heard that, you usually stopped dead in your tracks.

Evidently, my subconscious thought this was a good tactic to get the boys attention when they were in trouble, but I'm starting to think I may have overused this tactic - just a bit.

You see, last week we started hearing our little Lincoln call his brother Jackson Thomas.  A LOT.

Jackson is definitely our strong willed child, and because of that, he seems to get into trouble a bit more than his brother.  He definitely tries our patience, and obviously has brought us to using his full name quite a bit.

But I have to tell you, hearing Lincoln saying it back to us put it in perspective.  Guess we need to reevaluate what is full name worthy behavior!
