Vacation!

Brian and I were on vacation last week.  We've enjoyed a great week.
We started off our vacation by taking the boys to their first Red's game on 8/12.  Saturday was a relaxing day visiting with the Brocki's, and included a trip to Graeter's (YUMMY).
Sunday, Brian went to Fort Recovery to work on bills while the boys and I stayed home and caught up on laundry, and prepared for our vacation week.
We were all packed up on Monday morning and out the door at ten till nine.  Not bad!  We drove to Toledo, and spent the day with Aunt Lyn, Uncle RJ, Lylah, Knox, and Nash.  Tuesday, Lyn, Brian, me, and Rachelle took all 8 kids to the zoo!  Overall, it was a great trip.  We saw lots of animals, and the kids did really well overall.  Jackson had a few meltdowns, but what do you expect from an 18 month old?

Check out the group kid picture - Nash wasn't included, but Brian took his place.

Tuesday night, Brian, the boys and I went to visit Jay, Tracy and Ashley Wagner.  Tracy made a delicious dinner that we all enjoyed, the boys played on Ashley's swing set, and we spent the evening visiting.  Ashley had lots of toys the boys loved, and we definitely need to get all the kids together again soon.

Wednesday, it was time to start packing up to head out of Toledo.  We were all a little sad, but knowing we would be back again in just a week and a half made it a little easier.
After we packed up, we took the kids to the neighborhood park to play for a bit.  The boys LOVED the swings, once they let us put them in them.  Neither of them were quite brave enough to go down the twisty slide, but there is plenty of time for that later.

After the park, the boys ate some maccaroni and cheese, and we finally headed out around 1:30.

We took our time heading west as Great Grandma had a dentist appointment.  However, we then found out that Pawpa didn't work Wednesday, and Mawma only worked till 2:00.  So, we went to visit them for a bit first, then went and visited with Great Grandma and Pete.  After an amazing dinner that Mawma made for us, the boys took their first GATOR ride!  I am sure that it won't be the last one for Jackson...as he loved it.  Check out how much fun we had!

Great Aunt Shirley and Uncle Larry stopped out quick to see us ride the gator, and give the boys baths.  It was a very short visit, but we had a great time!
Thursday morning, it was time to pack up again and head to Grandma Hart's for the day.  The boys enjoyed seeing Aunt Lori, Uncle Sean, Aunt Beth and the kids as well as visiting with Grandma.  They played outside on the swing set, and Jackson was very excited to see the cows!
After visiting for the afternoon, we continued our journey back home to sleep in our own beds.  We enjoyed the long weekend at home...

We are back to work, and missing vacation already.  Hope the week goes fast!
