Where does the time go???

Once again, the last few weeks have been busy.

The boys had more visitors on Friday, February 19th. Sean and Zoe, and Kristen and Brett (friends of mine from work) stopped over to meet our little guys. We really enjoyed spending the evening with all of them, and we know if we need a babysitter, who we need to call!

Uncle Aaron celebrated his 29th birthday on February 21st. We invited Uncle Aaron to join us for dinner, complete with Lemon Poppyseed cake! We wish him only the best in the coming year.

The next week was just business as usual - spending time with the boys. I had my 4 week check up on the 24th, and the doctor was very pleased with how I was healing.

Maw-ma and Paw-pa were supposed to come visit the weekend of the 27th and 28th (to celebrate Uncle Aaron's birthday), but the weather was nasty, so they didn't make the trip. My friend Barb was also supposed to be here to visit, and decided against it because of the weather. So, we had a nice quiet weekend instead!

I left the boys for the first time on February 28th. I was gone for about 1/2 hour to run to Aaron's house to pick a few things up, but it was quite different being without them. It really is amazing how fast your life changes when you become a mom!

The boys had their one month check up with Dr. Korn on March 1st. Both of them continue to grow like weeds! Jackson was up to 8 lbs. 14 oz., and Lincoln was 7 lbs. 14 oz. The doctor was very happy with this progress. They both measured 21 inches. Otherwise, the boys are healthy and happy. We go back to the doctor for their 2 month check-up on April 6th.

Brian and I are getting more comfortable with taking the boys out. We made our first trip to Target with them the first week of March. Unfortuantely, the carts aren't big enough to hold 2 car seats, so we each had our own cart and baby. We still laugh at the attention that we seem to draw!

On Friday March 5th, I made my first major trip out with the boys by myself. We ventured to Western Hills for a baby shower. The boys were great - the slept in the car on the way there, and they enjoyed all the attention that they received at the shower. They met lots of my co-workers, and they weren't bothered by the number of people or the noise. This was a great warm up for all the attention they will get in Toledo next weekend!

Saturday was a busy day of errands, which again the boys were really good for us. We started out the morning by visiting the bank to open their very own savings accounts. We used the money they had received as a gift for their baptism, and plan to put money in each of their accounts each month. It is never too early to start saving!

After the bank, we cruised through Sam's Club for a few things that we needed. We did a drive through at the post office to mail the first round of thank you notes (yes, I'm still working on these!), then we were off for the boys first trip to the grocery store. Again, we needed 2 carts, and even then, there wasn't much room for groceries. I think in the future, we may need to take the stroller if we all go to the grocery together! After the grocery store, it was time to come home, as everyone was tired and hungry.

Sunday was a lazy day...getting things done around home, then church that night. It's always hard to believe the weekend is over!

Today, I'm taking the boys to my eye doctor appointment - wish us luck. I really hope they are good while we are there. The rest of the week will be spent preparing for our trip for Lylah's party, so I'm sure the week will be over before we know it.

Hope you all have a great week. We'll write more soon.

Kate, Brian, Lincoln, and Jackson
