Peyten and Addison were playing soccer tournaments this past weekend here in the Cincinnati area, so we packed up the van (with the boys, Uncle Aaron and Scott) and treked down to check out the games. We didn't get to see Peyten play (we were running a bit late), but we were able to catch most of Addison's game.
During the game, "Aunt Shelf" entertained Lincoln for quite a while by sharing her kettle corn with him. He just sat on her lap and helped himself! Jackson was more fascinated with the bleachers - trying to worm his way down to the ground from the top seats.
Toward the end of the game, the boys were getting a bit antsy, so we let them down. Brady and his friends were sitting down at the end of the field, so we "sent" the boys down to see him. For about 10 minutes, the boys just ran back and forth between the bleachers and Brady! Lincoln was so out of breath from laughing and running, and Jackson was just happy as could be to be on the move. Brady and his friends were great with the boys too - giving them high fives!
Addison's team played great, and they won their game, and actually the entire tournament! Rachelle said Addison was the one who made penalty kicks to win the final match! We are so proud of her!
After the game on Saturday, we headed to Panera so the kids could eat before their next games. The boys fell asleep on the way there, so Brian stayed with the boys in the van while the rest of us went in. I had a great time visiting with Peyten, Addison and Brady while they ate their lunch. I now see how fast Rachelle's kids have grown up, and I have no doubt our boys will be teenagers in no time!
Overall, it was a great weekend until my killer headache kicked in Sunday afternoon. The weather has been beautiful, but it is killer for allergies!
Hope everyone has a great week!
